From School Library Journal's Extra Helping:
Little, Brown Books for Young Readers is changing the covers on Trenton Lee Stewart’s "Mysterious Benedict Society" series, following complaints that the character Sticky Washington, described as having light brown skin, appears on all three covers as white.
ETA: Oh and, Little Brown? Please don't do it again.

I am so glad that they are changing it!
Me too, Emma. =D
Hey! this thing about speaking up really works! I'm impressed. It makes me feel a little hopeful that at least a couple places are listening to what readers have to say. Now, I hope they work on their future covers. I want to get books for my grandchildren and the library I work in that have all kinds of people on all kinds of covers. We all deserve to be recognized.

Mardel, YES.
This is all motivating me to continue fighting the good fight. ^_^
This is heartening. The community has spoken. The publisher has listened. Happy to discover your blog.m
