Juno

The story of a teenager who gets pregnant and gives her baby up for adoption... Juno is filled with really witty, quirky, and beautiful characters (portrayed through superb acting). I chuckle to myself when I remember the movie. :) But I didn't just find the movie really smart and funny, it also felt so real. It actually made me feel the responsibility and beauty of pregnancy, the weight and awkwardness of an unplanned pregnancy, the longing for a child, and hope about love. Sensitive me cried during a couple of parts! I love this movie. :)

"In my opinion, the best thing you can do is find a person who loves you for exactly what you are. Good mood, bad mood, ugly, pretty, handsome, what have you, the right person will still think the sun shines out your ass. That's the kind of person that's worth sticking with."
- quote from Juno

This gives such a beautiful vision of what learning can be all about: Earnest interest in the happy exchange of knowledge and ideas... cool.
Oops... I thought I was posting my comment on your absent professor post hahaha. Well, I want to see Juno, but I am not sure my comment makes any sense... err, well maybe? There must have been a *happy* exchange, and I suppose they learned something. I really should consider being fully awake before I leave comments lol.

Hahahahaha! :D

Hi, Natalie! Yes, it (coffee and conversation with my classmates) was a happy and cool exchange. In fact, we plan on asking our professor if we can have "class" in that little cafe from now on!

If you watch Juno, I hope you enjoy it. :)

I watched Juno on a illegal-dvd-download-version (I got from a torrent site) and I liked it! Ellen Page was great in the film. The dialogue is sharp, witty, very straight to the point realistic sounding when it's coming out of the mouths of Ellen Page and the other casts. The story starts out like a bit senti, corny, but then the story continues and the complexities of real life show itself in the screenplay. Really brilliant stuff!
To those who haven't watch it you may want to bring some tissue. hehe

Hey there, Carlo! How are you? It's nice to hear from you again. :)

I too loved the sharp and amusing dialogue in the movie and how the movie portrayed the complexities of reality in a really touching and entertaining way. Juno is totally boss of teen movies!!!
